What better place to spend your days then a cottage on the beach? That’s just what these owners got when we transformed a once aged collection of flawed additions and construction faux pas into an inviting yet private retreat. The home, encompassing a rare indoor pool room, has the open spaces for entertainment that capture both the view of the ocean as well as the pool; yet still maintains the quiet areas to escape from the activity when desired. Enjoy this video that captures the complete transformation of this hidden harbour.
These homeowners are the avid outdoor type. They love to partake in every aspect of a true Florida lifestyle. And when they get home… they want just as much freedom and fun in their décor. With a nearly complete overhaul to the house, these owners now have a kitchen-great room designed with a Caribbean flair; an entertainment wall with the natural appeal of wood and stone; a Guest Bath designed as if it were in a beach cottage; and a Pool Bath straight from the orient… just for fun! May the excitement never end.
These owners endured the front of many a storm over the years and patiently rebuilt a portion of their home each time nature took its toll. Tropical Storm Fay proved to be the “final straw” for the home… but when the tides rescinded… and the slate was clean… a fresh new look gave them peace of mind that everything happens for a reason.
This golf course home had many issues, the biggest being the small divided dark rooms and a “kitchen-in-a-closet” that left the owners almost embarrassed to invite guests in. We removed interior walls and combined spaces to create an open floor plan with loads of natural light and plenty to be proud of. The new kitchen is now an integral part of the open design; the once totally pink bathrooms have been completely converted and the entire 40-year-old structure has the look and feel of a brand new home.
Thirty years in one home… children grown and gone… and spaces dated by the decades passed… led this owner to dream big about remodeling! She didn’t need more space. She needed her own space. What evolved from that initial meeting was astounding. They now have separate luxurious His and Her bathrooms, a refurbished master bedroom adjoining the two, a breakfast room that expands the kitchen, an office space with enough room for two… and all of the restored spaces have breathtaking views of the river. This home is a truly sweet blend of amenities sure to please the generation to come.
The original house was separated from its over-sized yard by a narrow alley of a back porch. They had no room to entertain and no view of their yard and no place to enjoy the surrounding nature. So we mowed down a portion of the extra acreage and turned that extra Space into an extra Place… complete with pool, kitchen, mixed seating areas, raised spa, and even a built-in keg. What once was a space made for mowing… is now a place redesigned for relaxation.
Originally the property held a 1,000 sqft home built nearly 60 years ago. But the owners had another mission. They wanted a multi-level home giving them a private escape separated from everyday living; areas dedicated to the children that could grow as they did; a fully accessible main level for a handicapped child; a waterfront elevation that hails the true front of the house; and a design that would embrace the 400-year old trees that gracefully shelter the property.

The house served its purpose and held value with its canal frontage, but it offered little in the way of “curb appeal”. The owners dreamed of transforming the structure into a home even Hemmingway would be proud of. Complete with an extended second floor and a fully reconstructed interior, they now have the island style cottage they envisioned.

These owners had been in this home for years; raised their children; sent them off to succeed in the world; and were ready to upgrade their house with some modern “grown up” amenities. We have completely redesigned the interior with grand traditional columns and décor around an “anything-but-traditional” floor plan. But the real focal point of their residence now is the fabulous outdoor living area where they can invite their children back to a brand new home.

These owners spent decades “planning” yet still wondered if they ever “would”. Would they ever remodel the house… Would the investment ever pay off… Would they ever spend the money… Would they ever agree on what they needed… Would they ever “go for it”? YES is the answer. Ask if they regret it… and you will get a resounding NO. They allowed their need for more manageable spaces and desire for an outdoor entertainment area to become a beautiful, affordable and glorious reality.

This owner spends his free time exploring the world as a HAM radio operator. “He” employed our services to construct an office within the existing house that could be designed to accommodate his equipment and the detailed electronic specifications it requires. “She” employed our services to construct a traditional office that would blend with the existing décor and allow them to spend some time together yet separate. A job well done when both are satisfied!
Certain homes attract a lot of attention. Sometimes it is the location; sometimes the style; sometimes the color; sometimes the story. This property manages to combine them all. With its gentle organic curves enhanced with contemporary lines and distinct geometric shapes, this estate, the vision of a genuinely imaginative owner, truly transcends the ordinary and captures everyone’s curiosity.

It began a simple 2-story home with vinyl siding, shingle roof and 2,800 sqft. Four years later… this Mexican Manor now declares 3 separate wings complete with 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, wine room, art studio, one wing dedicated to mental & physical rejuvenation, and a state-of-the-art home theatre all within 9,000 sqft. The home, with an eclectic collection of influences from Mexico, Morocco, and India, blends with the meticulously planned landscaping to create a haven that truly soothes the soul.

When the children left for college, these folks decided to make a “few” changes. What started as a kitchen facelift soon developed into a whole house makeover with some overdue special attention to the master suite. In true Hollywood style, this once full house became a masterpiece of style and color to be the envy of any empty-nester.
This home is the ugly duckling transformed into a swan. The original 70’s structure left most passers-by with elementary questions of “what” and “why” and even childlike descriptions of “yuck” and “eww”. But one man saw the rundown structure as pure potential. With a life-long dream of owning a Cape Cod home and the privilege of river-to-river property, this total reformation turned one man’s vision into a journey of unyielding commitment and personal sacrifices that shaped the once unsightly shelter into an architectural aspiration.

When hurricane winds tore down the screening and the surrounding landscaping, this home was left with more then the obvious tangible items missing. The privacy granted by nearly 20 years of growth was gone as well. The “repair” design offered more benefits than the standard package though. This design, including a perimeter wall, allowed for greater privacy with added security, a summer kitchen, an outdoor entertainment area with built-in seating and fireplace, mood lighting, and multiple water features. The space, once existing as a mere back porch and pool deck, now effectively doubles the living area of this traditional Florida home.
As the number of family members went up… and the demands for space went up… so did the house! Limited property and imposing setbacks made “UP” the way to go. The replacement of the roof with a floor and new roof gave these canal-front home owners an upper Master “Retreat”. A newly designed lower level allowed each child a place of their own. With a granite shower, a private office and finishes of vibrant colors, this home now parallels the needs and excitement of this energetic growing family.

Hurricane Francis left this older two-story oceanfront penthouse as nothing more than a concrete shell. But the intent desires of these owners to escape to a paradise island every night led to a demonstration of artwork… that you can walk through. One look through the front door and the monotony of the condominium walkway is forgotten and the revelation of this modern tranquility abounds. From every corner, the eyes are stimulated with complex designs and mixtures of media that together, met every expectation… and beyond.

A well established neighborhood and oversized lots lured this homebuyer into purchasing a home built nearly 30 years ago. Though the structure was sound, the site was not quite what this young couple had dreamed of bringing their new family home to. With a complete interior facelift, an added master bathroom and game room, and a fresh new entrance, this house is now a home to stay in for many years to come.

Sometimes a client needs to break away from the ordinary and the necessary… and create a diversion from every day life. It may be a special place for the family to gather… a detached location for teens to group… a car collector’s home away from home… or an extreme theater that will “Wow” your friends. Any way you choose to escape from the day… any of these projects is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Extra large families sometimes require just a little more space. Such was the case with these homeowners. A seamless second-story addition on an already beautiful home allowed just enough spare room to provide them needed organization, a private area, and a few fun amenities to keep the little ones entertained.

This couple needed an escape from the business side of life… and a home in a country setting was just the ticket. With a blend of craftsman styling and traditional appeal, the house offers them the many assets they were seeking. They have large spaces for family gatherings, an open air porch that brings in plenty of natural light, a true country kitchen, and a workshop “retreat” to be the envy of any man… young or old.
This house had all the space it needed… but lacked a good way to use it. With attention given to nearly every room in the house, now there are places to store most everything. This project encompassed the foyer, dining room, kitchen, family room, entertainment room, master bedroom, master bathroom and office… and brought color and dimension to a once flat pale canvas.
